LA VIE LUNA APOTHECARY
We are a Self-Care Boutique and Creative Workspace located in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and we focus on non-toxic, handmade, and naturally-inspired self-care goods and gifts. Our best-selling candles are designed to make your home cozy, not toxic, and we curate other handmade, unique, non-toxic, and naturally-inspired goods from makers across the country. Safe and natural ingredients are very important to us, so you can rest assured knowing that everything in our store is safer to bring into your home or to put onto your body. We also offer candle making workshops at our “Candle Bar”, as well as a collaborative space for other makers to get together and host pop-up shops or workshops.

MEET THE MAKER
My name is Emily and I am the Owner of La Vie Luna Apothecary. I started pouring candles in my bedroom in 2019 as a way to cope with anxiety and depression. The act of making and crafting got me out of my head and into my hands, and I completely fell in love with the process (and also how freeing it was for my brain). As I started reading books and taking courses on candlemaking, I learned about all of the not-so-cute ingredients found in mainstream candles (for instance paraffin wax which is a petroleum biproduct, the use of the blanket term “fragrance” which is not regulated in the US, and wicks that still contained lead or zinc). I decided that if I was going to start making candles, I was going to ensure that every ingredient I use is safe and non-toxic. I wanted candles in my home that I’d feel safe burning around my family and pets. So … I found reputable suppliers who provide me with vegetable candle waxes, certified non-toxic fragrance oils, and cotton wicks.
As I continued making non-toxic candles, I also felt called to create more non-toxic products, so I branched out into wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, and bath salts. I sold my products at fairs, farmer’s markets, and pop-up shops for years before I found my first retail space in Plymouth, MA. Since I am a one-woman shop, I knew I couldn’t do it all so I decided to partner with other makers across the country to bring their handmade and non-toxic self-care goods into my shop. Now, when you come into La Vie Luna Apothecary you are surrounded by everything (non-toxic) self-care, with a touch of magic :)
